I’m a 4th year PhD candidate in Computational Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), working with Professor Raffaele Ferrari. I am primarily interested in using artificial intelligence, computational, as well as theoretical approaches to model earth’s climate and the dynamics of a turbulent ocean. As part of the Climate Modeling Alliance (CliMA), we are building the next-generation, data-driven earth system model for climate predictions, scientific inquiries, and hazard risk assessment.
Research Interests
- Artificial intelligence for ocean turbulence modeling (NORi)
- Automatic parameter calibration of coupled earth system models (ClimaOceanCalibration.jl)
- Cutting-edge numerical methods for ocean fluid simulations on GPUs (Oceananigans.jl)
- Mathematical theories of geophysical fluid dynamics
